After listening to Stellaluna on audiotape, work with four classmates to find out more information about bats. You will research:
· the different types of bats
· how baby bats are cared for by their mothers
· echolocation
· bat characteristics
· why bats are important
· create a book about bat facts to share with the class. 

Each of you will select information to research. You may not research the same information about bats that another child has selected. For example: if your classmate has selected to research the different types of bats no one else in the group may select that topic to research. When you are all done with your research, as a group you will work together to create a book containing the information you just researched. Follow the instructions on the Bat Book page to create your book. Just put the cursor over the word Process at the top of the page to locate the Bat Book page. When the book is complete your group will be presenting it to the class.
